Do you keep a copy of my data after the service?

A working copy may be retained for up to 48 hours after you receive or collect the recovered data. This short window protects against a failed return drive or transfer problem. You may ask us to delete it immediately, or confirm by email as soon as you have checked your copy.

Why there is a short retention window

The copy held by the lab is temporary. Its purpose is to give us a limited opportunity to correct a problem with the return media or transfer after you have received the result.

The 48-hour period starts when the recovered data is collected or delivered, not when the recovery itself finishes. It is a maximum, not a minimum.

You can request earlier deletion

If you do not want a working copy retained, tell us when approving the return. We can delete it immediately after the data has been transferred to your return media. You can also check the returned files and confirm deletion by email before the 48-hour period expires.
