Certification and evidence are different
The UK GDPR does not create a generic label called “GDPR-certified data destruction”. Organisations still need an appropriate process, accountability and evidence that disposal matches the sensitivity of the information and the storage technology involved.
Datraction does not advertise a third-party sanitisation accreditation that it does not hold. A destruction report can be supplied on request, recording the device and the method used.
Match the method to the medium
Verified overwriting may be appropriate for a functioning magnetic drive. Supported sanitise or secure-erase commands may be appropriate for some flash media. Failed devices and cases requiring the strongest assurance may need physical destruction. We agree the intended outcome before the work begins.
