Data Recovery Services in London
Our cleanroom lab is in south-west London, so devices can be dropped off in person. Standard diagnostics are free, turnaround is 5–10 working days and emergency service is 24 hours. Recovery starts from £100 for USB drives and £150 for hard drives, with no recovery fee if useful data cannot be recovered.
London is the only city where Datraction has a physical cleanroom, so every drive that arrives here, from a clicking laptop disk to a failed RAID member, is opened and worked on in the same building rather than forwarded elsewhere.
- Drop-off and collection
- Drop the device off in person during opening hours, or book a courier collection for the same day; either way it is logged and assessed in the building it arrives at, not forwarded on.
- Getting to the lab
- Work begins on the day the device reaches the bench, so no part of the turnaround is spent in transit between offices and the diagnosis starts from the moment it is booked in.
Everything happens in one building
Datraction’s cleanroom is in south-west London. A drive that arrives here — whether it’s dropped off in person or delivered by courier — never leaves the building until the job is finished. Imaging, head swaps and firmware work all happen in the same lab, with a dedicated cleanroom environment for mechanical drive work, so nothing is handed off to a subcontractor partway through.
Bringing a drive in yourself
If you’re local, you can bring a drive in during opening hours and have it logged and assessed the same day — the one advantage London customers get that the other eight cities on this list don’t. We assess each device’s fault, encryption state, previous attempts and evidence of overwritten data before explaining whether a complete or useful partial recovery appears possible. Diagnostics cost nothing either way.
What happens when your device arrives
Every device we take in goes through the same intake, whoever sent it and wherever it came from:
- 01 the device is photographed on arrival
- 02 a job ticket is raised and the device registered against it
- 03 the customer is notified that it has been received
An encrypted drive can only be recovered if you supply the key or password: full-disk encryption is not something the lab can bypass.
