Data Recovery Services in Liverpool

We collect failed drives, laptops, phones and NAS units from Liverpool by courier and recover them at our London lab; there is no local branch. Standard diagnostics are free, hard drive recovery starts at £150, and the standard tier targets 5–10 working days from arrival.

From a single external drive to a multi-bay NAS, everything collected in Liverpool travels the same insured route to the London bench — only the preparation before pickup changes with the device, so it pays to say what failed when you book.

Booking a collection
Tell us what the device is when you book. A lone drive or laptop just needs sound packing, while a NAS or RAID set should travel as one job with each drive labelled with its bay position before anything leaves the building.
Getting to the lab
Devices travel to London on the same national courier network used everywhere else, and the turnaround clock starts once the device is checked in there.

One collection, whatever failed

Most of what leaves Liverpool for our bench is ordinary: an office laptop that stopped booting, an external drive that fell off a desk, a phone that won’t switch on. All of it follows the same route — an insured courier we book for you, or your own tracked carrier — and all of it gets the same free diagnosis and a written price before any recovery work starts.

If it is a NAS or RAID set

Multi-drive systems earn one extra rule: note which bay each drive came from before you remove them, and keep them in that order. Rebuilding a scrambled array costs bench time that should be going into the recovery itself. Never let a controller “repair” or re-initialise the array after a failure, and send every member drive — including the one you think is dead — as a single job.

How it works from Liverpool

From Liverpool to recovered data

  1. Collection from Liverpool

We book an insured courier for you, or you send it with your own tracked carrier — your choice.

    about 215 miles by road

  2. Arrival at the lab

The device is photographed, a job ticket is raised against it, and you are notified that it has been received.

  3. Free diagnosis

An engineer assesses the fault and you receive a written price or agreed range before any recovery work.

  4. Recovery and return

You verify the recovered data first; it then returns on external media by tracked delivery.

Before you book: Label RAID or NAS drives with their bay order before they leave the building. Packing guidance: how to pack and send your device.

What we recover from Liverpool

Every device type below is collected from Liverpool and worked on in the same London lab, at the same prices. Pick the device for its symptoms, process and price band, or check what data recovery costs first.

An encrypted drive can only be recovered if you supply the key or password: full-disk encryption is not something the lab can bypass.

Questions people ask

Do I need to send every drive from my Liverpool NAS?

Usually yes, in their original order and including any drive you believe has failed. A RAID volume is striped across the whole set, so a missing member can make reconstruction impossible. Speak to us before dismantling anything and note each drive's bay as you go.

Can you collect from businesses on the docks or in the city centre?

Anywhere in Liverpool a courier can reach — offices, warehouses, homes. We book the insured collection for you, or you dispatch with your own tracked carrier; either way, hold on to the tracking reference until we confirm the parcel has been logged at the lab.

Is the diagnosis really free for Liverpool jobs?

Standard diagnosis is free wherever the device comes from, Liverpool included. You pay the courier leg and, only if you approve a written quote, the recovery itself. A device already opened elsewhere may need a £100 enhanced assessment, agreed before it is charged.

Recovery priority

How fast do you need your data back?

The engineering process and level of care stay the same. A faster service moves your case forward in the lab queue.
